GiVE 365 accepting grant applications through Feb. 1
GiVE 365, the dollar-a-day philanthropy initiative of the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis, is accepting grant applications from area nonprofits. The theme for this year’s grant cycle is Reconnecting Memphis.
Grants will support programs or projects that bring together different types of people, and increase appreciation and/or understanding of others' perspectives and experiences. All grant applications must respond to this theme. Optional information sessions will be offered multiple times between Dec. 12 – Jan. 17 for interested grant applicants. Grant application details are available at give365memphis.org.
Key dates in this year’s grant cycle:
- Dec. 18, 2017 – Application opens online at give365memphis.org
- Jan. 18, 2018 – All applicants must have submitted a WHEREtoGIVEmidsouth.org profile
- February 1, 2018 – Applications due online
Members will hear pitches from the finalist applicants at an April 2018 Finals event; grant awards will be announced in May.
Formed in 2010, GiVE 365 unites and informs emerging philanthropists to make a collective impact on Greater Memphis. Members donate $365 a year, pool their money with others, and vote on both an annual grant making theme and grant recipients. GiVE 365 hosts social and educational events and gives members the chance to actively participate in the grant process.
GiVE 365 members have distributed more than $438,000 in seven years. In addition to the grant pool, GiVE 365 has grown its endowment to more than $585,000. Membership currently stands at 240 individuals, couples, families, and businesses. Learn more.
