Blues Foundation tour

Donors and GiVE 365 members gathered to hear about Downtown's music tourism boom and tour the Blues Hall of Fame. Guests heard from the executive directors of the Downtown Memphis Commission, Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum, and The Blues Foundation.

Lunch & Learn: Building Nonprofit Capacity

Both Community Foundation of Greater Memphis and Momentum Nonprofit Partners are dedicated to building the capacity of our nonprofit sector. GiVE 365 was happy to host the leaders of both organizations, Bob Fockler and Kevin Dean, for a Lunch & Learn. GiVErs learned more about the Foundation's offerings for nonprofits, as well as how Momentum Nonprofit Partners (formerly the Alliance for Nonprofit Excellence) is retooling its resource and benefit offerings to help organizations and nonprofit professionals thrive. 

Crosstown Concourse Tour (newly opened)

Community Foundation donors and GiVE 365 Memphis members heard how a move to Crosstown Concourse helps nonprofits expand their ability to serve others, as well as how Church Health improves community health and wellbeing.

Porter-Leath Early Childhood Academy Tour

Community Foundation donors and GiVE 365 members were the first to experience Porter-Leath's new, state-of-the-art preschool facility that will change how early childhood teachers are trained in Memphis.

Crosstown Concourse Tour (under construction)

The Church Health Center hosted GiVE 365 for a tour of the Crosstown Concourse, its new home. The Church Health Center will fill 15 percent of the "vertical urban village's" entire 1.1 million square feet.

A Conversation with Mayor Jim Strickland

Community Foundation donors and GiVE 365 members gathered to hear Mayor Strickland present his vision for the city and answer attendees' questions.

Education and the Arts

Community Foundation donors, GiVE 365 members, and special guests heard from non-profit leaders about how organizations are creating opportunity for our community's children through innovative arts education and outreach efforts.

Social and Criminal Justice for the most vulnerable populations

Community Foundation donors and GiVE 365 members gathered at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law for an event focused on social and criminal justice for our community's most vulnerable populations, then gathered afterwards at The Brass Door.

National Civil Rights Museum Tour

On April 7, 2015, GiVE 365 members and Community Foundation donors toured the newly renovated National Civil Rights Museum and met its new president, Terri Lee Freeman.
